Where to Use Your RV

Flanners Beach
This RV campsite allows you access to river and stream fishing. Enjoy a range of species such as largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, flounder, and gars. The water is also enjoyable for a nice swim when the weather is warm enough.
If you want to experience even more of nature, you can wander the accessible one-mile trail that weaves throughout the pine-hardwood forest near the park. There are also five other miles you can hike, but note that they do not allow motorized vehicles.
As for amenities, you'll get access to drinking water, full bath house restrooms, a picnic table, a trailer dump station, a fire ring, and lantern poles. Over half of the sites offer electrical hookups for your RV. This campsite opens March 1 and tends to be pretty popular, so we recommend reserving your spot well in advance. The nearest towns are New Bern and Havelock if you end up needing groceries or want to wander some quaint towns.
Van Hook Glade Campground
This RV campsite gets you access to the stunning views along the Cullasaja Gorge as well as Cliffside Lake. Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy a range of options. You can fish from the shoreline but will need a North Carolina fishing license and trout stamp to fish the lake, the nearby streams, and the nearby rivers. You can also swim in the lake to cool off on a hot summer's day.
If hiking is more your speed, you'll love wandering the seven close hiking trails with great vistas. They vary in difficulty, making it easy to find something that suits your level. Enjoy beautiful views and a retreat into nature on these trails.
This RV park offers a range of amenities including flush toilets and showers, drinking water, parking spurs, fireplaces, and tables. It's open from April 1 to late October.
